<P>　　Google继在去年10月收购Keyhole后，首次向广大用户推出一个免费的基于卫星图片的地图软件。这与之前收购了Picasa后的计划颇为相似。Google Earth的功能犹如该公司的在线地图服务——Google Map，用户可以在一副3D地图上放大目的地或获得驾车指南。</P>
<P>　　Keyhole总经理John Hanke表示，Google Earth利用宽带流以及3D图形技术，这点好似视频游戏，可以让用户交互式地探索世界——要搜索的目的地最近可以是自家的邻居；最远可以是全球某个角落。此外，Google Earth与Google Map最大的不同点是，Google Earth还可以让用户旋转角度来观看地形和建筑物，为地图增添注释。</P>
<P>　　<b>Google Earth功能简介：</b></P>
<P>　　1. 结合卫星图片，地图，以及强大的Gogole搜索技术；全球地理信息就在眼前。
　　2. 从太空漫游到邻居一瞥；
　　3. 目的地输入，直接放大；
　　4. 搜索学校，公园，餐馆，酒店；
　　5. 获取驾车指南；
　　6. 提供3D地形和建筑物，其浏览视角支持倾斜或旋转；
　　7. 保存和共享搜索和收藏夹；
　　8. 添加自己的注释。</P>
